MUSIC FOR CELEBRATION

Private musical commissions. Limited availability.

The composer offers ceremonial music for life’s defining moments;  occasions chosen not for display, but for meaning.

These commissions are created for individuals and families who wish to mark a significant passage, celebration, or remembrance with music that carries weight, dignity, and permanence. Each work is conceived as a ritual element, a sound structure that gives form to memory, intention, and presence.

Compositions may range from intimate solo works to chamber pieces and large-scale orchestral or symphonic scores, depending on the nature of the occasion and the desired scope. Instrumentation, duration, and format are determined through a considered process, guided by context rather than convention.

All works are written with the understanding that ceremonial music is not ephemeral. Once composed, it becomes part of a personal or familial narrative, preserved beyond the moment it was created for.

Commissions are accepted selectively.

Alexander & Sofia

Private celebration, Vienna.

***

The commission was created for a private evening celebration held in Vienna, marking a significant family milestone. The music was written for chamber orchestra and performed in a closed setting for invited guests only.

From the first conversation, it was clear that this would not be background music. The work was conceived as a central element of the evening : ceremonial, structured, and deliberate. What we valued most was the composer’s sense of proportion and form. The music carried authority without excess and gave the event a distinct character that could not have been replicated otherwise. A rare level of seriousness and artistic integrity.

Thomas K.

Private ceremonial work.

***

The commission was created for a private ceremonial moment, intended to give structure and presence to the occasion. The music was written for string ensemble, with a clear sense of progression and direction.

The composer showed a remarkable ability to shape melodic lines that were genuinely captivating. There was a subtle baroque sensibility throughout the piece.  Never overt, but clearly felt. The music drew us in and held the atmosphere with quiet authority.

Richard L.

Private commission.

***

The commission emerged through a close and thoughtful collaboration, shaped by dialogue and mutual understanding. The work was written for string quartet, with careful attention given to balance, pacing, and clarity.

What impressed me most was the composer’s ability to translate conversation into music. The final work was delivered with exceptional refinement and precision, exceeding what I had initially imagined. It felt complete, considered, and deeply personal.

Helena V.

Private commemorative gathering.

***

The commission was written to mark a private commemorative gathering held within a close family circle. The music was composed for string quartet, chosen for its clarity and restraint.

Most important to us was dignity. The composer understood this immediately. The music did not seek to console, but to hold space (calm, measured, and sincere). The piece has since become part of our family’s private archive. It is returned to in moments of reflection, long after the original occasion.

Frederick W.

Private estate gathering, England.

***

The commission was created for a private gathering held at a family estate in the English countryside. The music was written for string ensemble, conceived to resonate with the architecture and atmosphere of the place.

The music seemed to belong to the estate itself, as though it had been waiting for the occasion. The composer approached the process with precision and restraint, understanding the importance of legacy and continuity. The piece has since been preserved as part of the family’s private musical collection.

Margaret & William R.

Private family commission.

***

The commission was initiated as part of a broader family occasion, with the intention of creating a work that could remain relevant beyond the immediate moment. From the outset, the collaboration was marked by clarity, discretion, and mutual respect. The composition was written for string ensemble, allowing for both intimacy and breadth.

What we value most is seriousness of approach. The composer listened attentively, worked with great precision, and delivered a work of remarkable distinction. The music has since become part of our family life. It is now performed at our gatherings as a kind of family anthem.

Eleanor S.

Private collection piece.

***

An original work was commissioned for inclusion in a private music collection. Rather than marking a single occasion, the piece was conceived as a work to be returned to over time.

The music feels alive in a quiet way. Each listening reveals something new, without ever losing its sense of form. It has become one of those pieces we return to instinctively.

Isabelle & Laurent

Private anniversary celebration, Paris.

***

The commission was created to mark a family anniversary held in a private residence in Paris. The music was written for string quartet and performed in an intimate setting, surrounded only by close family members.

What mattered most to us was restraint and depth. We were not looking for spectacle, but for something sincere and lasting. The composition captured precisely that, a sense of continuity, memory, and quiet presence. The process was discreet and thoughtful from the very beginning. The music remains with us long after the evening itself.

Victor A.

Private dedication.

***

Written for string quartet, the composition avoided sentimentality and focused instead on structure and proportion. The music felt composed, deliberate, and unforced.

The idea began as a simple request for a short musical work, intended for a private moment of dedication. Over time, it became clear that the piece would carry more weight than initially expected. What I valued most was the seriousness with which the work was treated. Nothing felt provisional. The result was a piece that continues to reveal itself with repeated listening.

YOUR FIRST WALTZ

Imagine, the first waltz was specially written  for you. Music composed in a classical manner that will compliment one of the most beautiful moments of life. Entrust this task to classical music composer Jekabs Tutins.

Original works are also composed for couples, including first dances written in private commission. These pieces are shaped with a sense of proportion, form, and quiet distinction, intended to accompany the moment with dignity rather than display.

The music is conceived to endure beyond the ceremony itself, remaining as a personal marker of union and continuity.

Chloe & Gabriel

Wedding on a yacht, Monaco.

***

The couple had planned a wedding celebration on a yacht, which was supposed to create music for a wedding waltz for 4 minutes, so the music was composed for a traditional performance - a string quartet. The piece was played at sunset, the emotions were palpable - a specially created piece, its choreography on a yacht and all this in a small company of family and friends.

It was important to us that everything was personalized, from the cake to the choice of music. I heard J. Tutin's music at one of the concerts when I was in Latvia. I'll be honest, we thought it was for the classic works of an old master, so there was no doubt that we wanted to ask him to compose our special dance for us. Professional attitude and work. A piece that still fascinates me, I definitely recommend J. Tutins."Chloe /June/

Karlina & Charlie

Wedding at The Old Royal Naval College, London.

***

The wedding took place in a magical place. The customer clearly knew that they wanted to make an impression on the wedding guests, so we agreed on a composition for the chamber orchestra. The  piece was created for 4 minutes.

We clearly knew that the first waltz had to be something special. When we learned about the possibility that the composer could write it for us, we were immediately interested i n such a n opportunity. We agreed with J. Tutins on the length of the piece, we left the rest in his professional hands. When he represented his piece to us, as I remember now, tears came to my eyes, it was something special, so Charlie and I agreed that this would not only be our first waltz, but also that we would use part of the piece as an accompaniment when walking to the altar. We definitely recommend this composer."Karlina /May/

Tiffany & James

Wedding at Villa Pizzo, Italy.

***

The client's wishes were a 3-minute piece for a quartet, which will be played when the bride walks down the aisle.

While the classic wedding march has its own elegance, we wanted something more personal. The piece composed by J. Tutiņš fully embodied this classic and noble aesthetic, giving the ceremony an impeccable and unrepeatable magic. Our guests are still talking about that special moment at the ceremony and how beautiful and moving the music was. J. Tutin's talent and ability to create such a strong emotional experience is truly amazing."Tiffany /April/

Jaketerina & Vladimir

Wedding at Villa Ephrussi De Rothschild, France.

***

The beautiful villa was made for the chamber orchestra on which the couple's waltz were performed. The client clearly indicated that the piece should sound mighty and triumphant and be as classical as possible.

Vladimir and I love the music of P. Tchaikovsky and it happened that our first date was at the "Bolshoi Theater" on Swan Lake, and at that moment I realized that my wedding needed classical music. So it happened that we learned about J. Tutin's music. I listened to his composedmusic "Waltz Ballerina" and said, Jekabs, I want something like that because it reminds me of the beautiful classical music created by P. Tchaikovsky! It was an indescribable 6 minutes of a moment that we have locked in our hearts. If you want something memorable and beautiful, J. Tutin's should be your first choice."Jaketerina /February/

Florence & Fernandez

Wedding at Villa d Este, Italy.

***

This couple's wedding composition, which lasted 3 minutes, was performed by a quintet. The main condition of the couple is that the composition should be as light and beautiful as Rome, the city where they fell in love.

The lightness and grace that this J. Tutins music brought to our night was indescribable. It was so soulful, so personal and of course classic. If you want your wedding night to be even more personal and truly unforgettable, I recommend J. Tutins as an excellent composer."Florence /November/

Danielle & Liam

Wedding at Isola del Garda, Italy.

***

A 3-minute piece was created for a classical quartet. The client's main condition is that the waltz must have a distinct character that alternates with fleeting softness.

During the ceremony of other friends, we were completely enchanted by the fantastic music, which added even more depth and emotion to the whole event. After the ceremony, we immediately went to talk to our friends to find out what created this magical musical experience. They introduced us to J. Tutins and his excellent work. Even at our wedding, from the very first notes, we felt how the music filled the room with noble excitement and warmth. Thank you for making our day so special and magical."Danielle /September/
