Composer Jēkabs Tutiņš Announces the New Season of Salon Music Evenings at Benjamiņu House
Composer Jēkabs Tutiņš has announced the new season of salon music evenings at Benjamiņu House, offering an elegant cultural experience in the heart of Riga this autumn and winter by combining live music, historical atmosphere, and refined flavours.
The new season is inspired by the historic European salon music traditions, where music, atmosphere, and a sense of shared presence formed a unified cultural experience. At the centre of the evenings will be Jēkabs Tutiņš’ original music performed live by a string ensemble, accompanied by three exclusive truffle flavours specially created for the event by Pure Chocolate. Two evenings in this format are planned for September 27 and October 27.
During the evening, guests will enjoy live music in an intimate atmosphere where the audience sits remarkably close to the musicians, becoming part of the musical experience itself. The historic halls of Benjamiņu House, the sound of string instruments, and the carefully selected flavours will create an elegant salon evening atmosphere, allowing guests to step away from everyday routine for a few hours.
“Salon music has always been associated with beauty, elegance, and a deeply personal cultural experience for me. In these evenings, special importance lies not only in the music itself, but also in the atmosphere and the feeling people take with them after this salon experience,” says Jēkabs Tutiņš.
The programme is designed as a cultural event for lovers of refined living who appreciate live music, aesthetics, historical surroundings, and unhurried evenings in an elegant atmosphere.
Previous salon music evenings have received strong audience interest and have become one of Riga’s most elegant cultural events. The number of seats for the new season will also remain limited in order to preserve the authentic intimacy of the salon atmosphere.
